Inbound new lot numbers

This exercise will help you to get a better understanding of the Aptean Beverage Manufacturing extension. The exercise can be performed in the Cronus Demo company.

Create a copy of this company to keep your Cronus Demo in the original state. In the copy you can do all the exercises that are included in the training.

Exercise 2 – Inbound new lot numbers

Item journal – Pos. Adjustment

First post some stock of the material items you created. Search Item Journal Templates.

Select the normal Item journal

• Select the Batch Name and create a new name: your NAME
• Line 1:
  • Posting Date 1-1-22
  • Entry type: Pos. adjustment
  • your item NAME_MALT
  • Location: BLUE_PROD
  • Bin Code: SILO1
  • Quantity: 10000 (KG)
  • Open the Item tracking page and assign a lot no.
    • (show columns: add fields Strength1 (ABV), strength2 (DPL) and Strength3)
    • in field strength3 the value is by default filled with 70 from the item card. Change it into 65, as this lot has less sugar (HWE value).
• Line 2:

  • your item NAME_ALC96
  • Location: BLUE_PROD
  • Bin Code: SP01
  • Quantity: 1000 (L)
  • Open the Item tracking page and assign a lot no.
    • in field strength1 (ABV) the value is by default filled with 96 from the item card. Change it into 96.2
• Line 3:
  • Posting Date 1-2-22
  • Entry type: Pos. adjustment
  • your item NAME_ALC96
  • Location: BLUE_PROD
  • Bin Code: SP02
  • Quantity: 1000 (L)
  • Open the Item tracking page and assign a lot no.
    • in field strength1 (ABV) the value is by default filled with 96 from the item card. Change it into 95.9
• Line 4:
  • Item 7511 Cronus Premium Bright Beer (Lot)
  • Location: BLUE_PROD
  • Bin Code: BBT1
  • Quantity: 70 (HL)
  • Open the Item tracking page and assign a lot no.
    • fields strength1 (ABV) and strength2 (DPL) is by the default filled from the item card. You cannot change it, as this item has an item tracking code that does not allow it, this item has fixed strengths.

Post the journal.

Search Lot No. information

(personalize page: make sure column Item No. is shown)

Search/filter the page on your NAME items

• open the Lot No. information card of the new lot of your NAME_MALT item.
  • View the Strength3 field
  • Drill down to the item ledger entry by the Inventory field
    • Notice the columns for strength3 and volume3. It shows the total KGs * HWE (10000 * 65)
• open the Lot No. information card of the first new lot of your NAME_ALC96 item.
  • View the Strength3 field
  • Drill down to the item ledger entry by the Inventory field
    • Notice the columns for strength1 and volume1. It shows the total L*ABV value (1000 * 96.2)
• Same for the other lot with 959.00 Litre-alcohol

Purchase receipt and other inbound

This process is the same for any inbound you post where a new lot no. is assigned.
