Define the dependency between components in a Production BOM

This section explains dependency of a BOM Line from another BOM Line. It means that the volume of a dependent Production Order Component will automatically be recalculated when the volume of the active ingredient is adjusted (because of it’s strength).

1. Select the Search icon , enter Items, and then choose the related link.
2. On the Items page, select the item card.
3. On the Replenishment FastTab, select the related Production BOM No., and then go to Production BOM Card.
4. Select the Dependent BOM Line.
5. Fill the field Depends On Line No. with the line no. of the active ingredient item.
6. Fill the field Dependency Calculation Type based on volume.
