What
Function Assign FEFO by Volume*Strength in production order components and in production journal. It assigns the oldest lot and recalculates for the active ingredient strength. including an option to change the bin to the bin where the oldest lots are and possibly spit the component lines when the required quantity is available from multiple bins.
Why
Make it more efficient to prepare a production order.
How
Open the Production Order Components page. Select the lines with an Active Ingredient flag. Click the process action Assign FEFO by Volume*Strength.
- Select Current bin if you want to get the oldest lot within the selected bin for a component line.
- Select All bins in this location when you want to get the oldest lot in the location. It will update the bin code if the oldest lot is in another bun than the current one. it will split the component line if the required quantity is not available in one bin, but in multiple.
After this action the expected quantity has been adjusted to the actual active ingredient strength if the selected lot(s).
