License plate tracking per location

Using license plate tracking is not only indicated in the item tracking code, but it also depends on the setup in the location card. You have the possibility to use license plate tracking in one location and not in the other location, for the same item.

The need for license plate tracking must be specified per location. This will influence the transactions.

1. Select the Search icon , enter Locations, and then choose the related link. The Locations page opens.
2. Select a location code that requires license plate tracking.
   The Location Card page opens.
3. On the Warehouse FastTab, turn on the Require License Plate Tracking toggle to specify if license plate tracking is required for that specific location.
   This toggle should be turned off for external locations lacking item storage information.
4. On the Bins FastTab, in the Pick License Plate Bin Code field, enter a unique bin code, which will facilitate the temporary transfer of the license plate when assigning a new number during warehouse pick and inventory movement.
   It is advised to assign a unique bin code that has not been utilized in other transactions to avoid unexpected issues.
