Inbound transactions

License plates must be registered on every inbound transaction, in case that the item and location are license plate tracked.

The Create License Plates function in the item tracking lines allows you to create one or more license plate numbers (LP’s) for item, variant, location and/or bin on an inbound transaction line (such as purchase, production output, and positive adjustments), if both the item as the location requires license plate tracking. When you assign a license plate number with this function, the standard quantity per LP, and the shipping container code based on the default packaging setup for the item from the Aptean Packaging extension are suggested along with the number of license plates. This is explained in more detail in the following paragraphs.
