This exercise will help you to get a better understanding of the Drink-it Logistics App. The exercise can be performed in the CRONUS DIT DEMO company.

Note

Create a copy of this company to keep your CRONUS DIT DEMO in the original state. In the copy you can do all the exercises that are included in the training.

Exercise 6 - Logistic Statuses

1. Master Data

Search for Logistic Statuses.

  • Create a new Logistic Status
  • Type: Sales Order
  • Code: your NAME_CHECKED
  • Action code: leave blank
  • Description: Loading complete checked
  • Display order: in between PICKED and SHIPPED
  • Allowed previous step: PICKED
  • Allowed next step: SHIPPED
  • Allowed on Post Shipment = yes
Note

On the Logistics Statuses page, when none of the next step statuses has an action code as WHSE. PICK CREATED, an error occurs on the Warehouse Shipment page when using the Create Pick action and a warehouse pick is not created for that associated sales order.

2. Sales Order

Search for Sales orders

  • Create the same order for customer your NAME1 as in training Route delivery sales orders.
  • Notice the Logistic Status (on FastTab General or logistics; depending on your role (via My Settings)).
  • Release the order and check the Logistic Status.
  • Print the Order confirmation and check the Logistic Status
  • Click on action Update to next Logistic Status and select the next status

Open the Sales orders list page and view the logistic status column.

  • Open the Route Planning Worksheet, filtered on your routes, on orders to be delivered or received tomorrow.
  • Notice the Logistic Status of your order in the Route request line.
  • Print the Picklist for your order from the worksheet and check the Logistic Status
  • You have checked that the goods are completely loaded, for this order. Update the Logistic Status to that, from the Route Request Line.
  • Post the shipment of your order and check the Logistic Status.
  • The route is finished. Update the Logistic Status to the last one (‘ready to invoice’), from the Route Request Line.
Note

The list of Action codes is limited, but the field is extensible, which means you could add codes by a PTE (Per tenant extension), and develop logic on it. Eg. for an interface with a 3rd party logistics provider, where the logistic status should be updated from certain triggers.

3. Other Document types

Search for Logistic Statuses.

You can define statuses for document types: Sales order, Sales return order, Blanket sales order, Purchase order, Purchase return order, and Blanket purchase order. Each type has its own automatic triggers (Action Codes).

Within each type some Action codes are available that relate to warehouse activities (warehouse shipment, warehouse pick, warehouse receipt). In training Warehouse integration such warehouse activities are explained.
