This exercise will help you to get a better understanding of the Drink-it Logistics App. The exercise can be performed in the CRONUS DIT DEMO company.

Note

Create a copy of this company to keep your CRONUS DIT DEMO in the original state. In the copy you can do all the exercises that are included in the training.

Exercise 3 – Pickup Orders

In training Route delivery sales orders we showed route deliveries. Multiple sales orders were planned into one drive and delivered to the customer. In this training we show customers who come to your warehouse to pickup goods. Orders may still show in one route for the overview, but are handled one by one. It is similar for most export orders were shipping agents do the transport from your warehouse to the port.

1. Master Data

Search for Routes.

Create a new route

  • Code: your NAME_PICKUP
  • Name: Order picked up by customer - your name (NAME)
  • Shipping Location and Receipt Location: select BLUE-TP
  • Multiple order route = no

Search for Customers. Filter on the customer’s with your name.

  • Change default route to NAME_PICKUP

2. Order creation

Search for Sales orders.

Create the same orders as in training Route delivery sales orders, this time with your ‘pickup’ route.

3. Route Planning

Search for Route Planning No. Make sure your filter is set to your routes and the date filter is set to tomorrow. Select the route planning line of your pickup route.

When you agreed on a time slot for the customer, change the Delivery Sequence to that (eg. 1000, 1015, 1030…) and sort on it.

4. Pick

Your customer1 has arrived with his vehicle to pickup goods. Select the order in the route request lines and print from there the picklist.

5. Return

The customer brought empty goods that are unloaded and counted first. Register that in the Return entry for the order:

  • 40 Crates EMPTY DE CRATE 20x50CL

6. Ship & Invoice

All ordered goods were picked and loaded in the vehicle of the customer. Post for this order the shipment and invoice.

Search for Posted Sales Invoices and view it.
