Features
With this release of the Aptean Beverage Logistics extension, Drink-IT Edition,
- The system assigns values in the Agent and Agent Service fields on the Sales Order page when a ship-to address is used. These values are determined based on the type of route and available data, ensuring accurate shipping information.
- For multi-order routes, the values are always derived from the Routes page.
- For non-multi-order routes:
- If the route is specified, the values are derived from the Routes page.
- If the route is not specified, the values are derived from the Ship-to Code field on the Customer Card page.
- If the Ship-to Code field value is not specified, the values are derived from the Customer Card page itself.
- If all values are empty, the Agent and Agent Service fields on the Sales Order page will remain blank.
- When a ship-to address is used:
- If the Shipping Agent Code and Shipping Agent Service Code field values are specified on the Ship-to Address page, those values are used.
- If these fields are empty on the Ship-to Address page, the Agent and Agent Service field values on the Sales Order page will remain blank.
- The system displays the sell-to customer address instead of the default ship-to address on the Route Planning Worksheet page for sales return orders. This enhancement improves efficiency in route planning by ensuring planners have visibility into the correct customer location when scheduling return pickups. For more information, see Setting up logistics.
- The logistic statuses are correctly updated in alignment with the backorder process functionality on the Backorder Sales Lines page, ensuring accurate shipment tracking. The backorder process functionality includes the following types:
- No Backorder: The warehouse shipment lines and sales order lines are updated with the picked quantity, and the warehouse shipment header status changes to Completely Shipped.
- Backorder in Order: The warehouse shipment lines are updated with the picked quantity, and the warehouse shipment header status changes to Completely Shipped.
- Backorder in Blanket Order: The warehouse shipment lines are updated with the picked quantity, the warehouse shipment header status changes to Completely Shipped, and a blanket sales order is created for the remaining quantity.
The Backorder Process action can be executed from the Route Planning Worksheet page. If the Backorder Process action on the Backorder Sales Lines page is not used, the warehouse shipment header status remains Partially Shipped, and the standard logistic status process is followed accordingly.
- The shipment date, route number, and drive number can be updated in the sales orders and/or warehouse shipment without creating a new document. This enhancement improves flexibility in logistics planning and ensures accurate warehouse operations. When changing the shipment date, route, or drive number using the Move Route Planning action on the Route Planning Worksheet or Route Planning Request page, the system updates the existing sales order and/or warehouse shipment. The updated information is reflected on the associated warehouse shipment document, if it has already been created. These values cannot be updated if an open pick exists for the warehouse shipment document. License plates and registered warehouse picks will also be linked to the correct route planning number. The route number and shipment date are also updated directly on the Sales Order page when there are no open warehouse activities. For more information, see How to use route planning worksheet in logistics.
UI/UX changes
The Show Customer Address for Sales Return Order toggle has been added to the General FastTab of the Logistics Setup page.
Resolved issues
The following issue has been resolved in this release.
ID | Description |
---|---|
272566 | The system fails to update the Logistics Status field value to LOADED on a sales order when the license plate status is changed to LOADED and no backorder exists. This issue occurs because the status update is not triggered based on the warehouse statuses setup, preventing accurate tracking of shipment progress. |
