Set up lot management
You can configure the following setups:

Select the Search icon
, enter Lot Management Setup and then choose the related link.
The Lot Management Setup page opens. -
On the General FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description Max. Length Lot No. Enter the maximum number of characters allowed for a lot number. For example, 20. Disable Item Tracking Info. Turn on the toggle to hide the visibility of the Item Tracking and Assigned Lot(s) fields on the Lines FastTab of the following pages: - Assembly Order

Permit Lot Selection For Positive Adjustments Turn on the toggle to select a lot number for positive adjustments. Copy Production Lot Details to Lot Origin Details Turn on the toggle if you want the system to copy lot details from production journals to lot origin details upon posting. For more information, see View lot origin details. View Traceability Source Reference Turn on the toggle to view the Traceability Source Reference field on the Item Tracking Lines page for output journals, purchase orders, purchase invoices, and production orders.

On the Number Series FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description Grower Nos. Select the number series code the system must use to automatically assign in the No. field on the Grower page when creating a grower.
Alternatively, you can manually enter the grower number if required.Recall Nos. Select the number series code the system must use to automatically assign in the No. field on the Recall card page when creating a recall.
Alternatively, you manually enter the recall number if required. For more information, see Create recalls. -
On the Automatic Lots FastTab, in the Automatically Assign Lot No. on Purchase Order field, select the scenario where the lot number should be assigned automatically for the lot tracked items on purchase orders. The available options are:
- No Creation
- Always
- On Release
- Per Assigned Lot(s) Field
The lot management setup is complete.
