Interaction Support for Item Tracing Exercise

You can create an interaction to record the affected customer(s)/Item(s)/Lot(s) to notify them of an impending item withdrawal.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Item Tracing and then choose the related link.
  2. On the General FastTab, enter the Item Filter field with the appropriate Item No.
  3. Enter the Lot No. Filter field with the appropriate Lot No.
  4. In the action bar, select Process > Trace.
    Various customers/shipments are displayed in the lines.
  5. In the action bar, select Actions > Functions > Create Withdrawal Segments.
    The Item Withdrawal Segments page is opened.
  6. On the Options FastTab, enter Description with the description of the traced item.
  7. Enter Interaction Template with the interaction template code of the interaction involving the segment.
  8. Click OK to create the interaction.
  9. Click Yes to open the interaction.
    The Segment page is opened. The entries with the Source Type Customer are populated in the lines of the Segment page.
    The Item Ledger Entry No., Location Code, Item No., Lot No., Source No., Document No., Contact Phone No., and Contact Email can be viewed in the segment lines table. The details in these fields will flow to the relevant interaction log entry when clicking the Log action on the action bar.


If none of the entries contain the Source Type Customer, you’ll see the following error No interaction has been created.
