Change the inspection status when sales expiration date is expired

For lot numbers with an expired sales expiration date, the default inspection status is assigned based on the expired sales expiration date trigger type. For more information, see Set up default inspection status per trigger type.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Change Inspection Status of (Sales) Expired Lots, and then choose the related link. The Change Inspection Status of (Sales) Expired Lots page opens. You can select an inspection status as filter. Only lot numbers with this specific inspection status are changed when the action is executed. This has been made possible so that lot numbers with a temporary inspection status or an inspection status that may not be changed are not overwritten when executing the action. The system creates new inspection tags and assigns the default inspection status code.
  2. In the Inspection Status Filter field, select the AssistEdit button. The Inspection Status List page opens.
  3. Select the desired value.
  4. Select OK.
You can add multiple inspection statuses to the filter by repeating the previous two steps.
After executing the action, a message is displayed stating that the report has run successfully and it shows how many lot numbers have a changed inspection status. The inspection status has changed to the inspection status as set up on the Default Inspection Status page when the Trigger Type field value is set to Expired Sales Expiration Date and Expired Expiration Date.

When the Change Inspection Status for (Sales) Expired Lot Numbers action is executed, the inspection status is changed for lot numbers for which the expiration date and/or sales expiration date has expired before or on the work date. The Reason Code when Changing Status of Expired Lots in the Inspection Status Setup page must be filled. This functionality only works when the Aptean Expiration Management extension is installed. The used filter is saved and used as a default value when the action is executed again. The system applies the additional filter to lot records that have active tags with the selected inspection status codes before creating the new tags.
