Manifest Field Mappings

You can create a new data exchange definition that facilitates the mapping of data from the manifest file that you want to import to the fields on the manifest lines. It includes the columns derived from the fields on the manifest lines by default. Additionally, you can introduce new columns and arrange them as per your specific requirements. You have the flexibility to arrange the columns in any order you prefer to match the layout of the manifest file you intend to import.

To create a new data exchange definition

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Manifests, and then choose the related link.
    The Manifests list page opens.
  2. Select the required No. to open the relevant manifest.
    The Manifest card page opens.
  3. On the action bar, select Create Data Exchange Definition.
    The Manifest Field Mappings page opens. The columns derived from the fields on the manifest lines are included by default.
  4. On the action bar, select New to create a new column.
  5. Fill in the fields as follows:

Column No.Enter the number of the column in the manifest file that you want to map to the manifest field.
Column CaptionEnter the name of the column in the manifest file that you want to map to the manifest field.
Target Table IDSelect the ID of the table to which the selected column caption should be mapped.
Table CaptionSpecifies the name of the table to which the selected column caption should be mapped.
Target Field IDSelect the ID of the field to which the selected column caption should be mapped.
Field CaptionSpecifies the ID of the field to which the selected column caption should be mapped.
  1. On the action bar, select the AssistEdit button and then choose the required action from the following list:

DeleteDelete the selected line. The mandatory columns within the data exchange definition cannot be removed or deleted.
Move UpMove the selected line upwards in the list.
Move DownMove the selected line downwards in the list.
SortArrange the lines in order according to the column number.
