Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Grower Return extension,

• You can configure a cost template to calculate additional costs, such as packaging or transportation, at a document or document line level for settlements with the Accounting Method field value set to Account Sale or Pooling. These document costs do not affect the settlement amount calculation and are posted only as item charge lines when a purchase invoice is created from the settlement. For more information, see Set up cost calculation templates and Set up document calculations for cost template lines.

• The system calculates and displays document costs based on the cost template configuration for settlements with the Accounting Method field value set to Account Sale or Pooling. For more information, see Create and run a settlement.

• You can view and edit the calculated document costs directly from the Settlement page. For more information, see Manage document costs.

• The system creates item charge lines on a purchase invoice to post the document costs incurred. For more information, see Post a settlement.

• The system automatically generates lines for packaging items when creating a purchase invoice from the Settlement page and posts them when the purchase invoice is posted.

  • The system only adds packaging lines that were received at the same time as the receipt line that is being invoiced via the settlement.
  • For packaging items, ensure the Grower Accounting toggle on the Replenishment FastTab of the Item Card page is turned off. Otherwise, packaging items are added twice to the purchase invoice.
  • This feature is available only when the Aptean Packaging extension is installed.

• The system indicates whether settlement lines are related to drop shipment transactions by selecting the Drop Shipment checkbox on the Settlement page. Additionally, the system displays a notification when a settlement includes drop shipment transactions that are not fully received or shipped, because the revenue from unshipped sales orders is not included in the proposed amount to settle.

The Aptean Grower Return extension has been integrated with the Aptean Packaging extension. For more information, see Integrations.

The following UI/UX changes have been made in this release.

• The Calculation action has been added to the Cost Template page.
• The Calculation Value field has been added to the Cost Template page.
• The following fields have been added to the Settlement page.
