In order to perform deployment of the Aptean Document Link extension, the following tools must be installed and the instructions must first be followed:

Azure Storage

  1. Create the Storage Account for Document Link and Blob storage container ‘attachments’.
    For more information on how to create the Azure storage account, click here.
    For more information on how to create Azure Blob storage containers, click here.
  2. Select the storage account and select Access keys to retrieve the Storage Account name and Key for accessing the Storage account.

Business Central

  1. Create the Blob Storage Connection for the Blob Storage Accountcreated in the previous topic.


    This setup is part of the Aptean Azure Connector, which offers the ability to connect your Blob storage accounts to be used in Business Central extensions.

  2. Select the Document Link Setup as shown below. This will be used to store all attachments saved via the Document Link extension.

    If there is a need to keep attachments unique per company, you can create the storage and set it up per company.
