Setup Contract Objects

As a beverage company, you can have objects (buildings, parts of a building, a kiosk etc.) you deliver to. An object can be bound to a contract with you, or with a third party. They can be owned by you, or by others. An object can have a renter that is your direct or indirect customer. Renter changes happen now and then, the object stays the same object. An object can be the subject of a loan to a customer. The customer can change, but the object stays the same object.

As a sales manager, you want to be able to report sales per renter (customer), but also per object over the years, independent of the renter(s) that were in it. As a corporate lawyer, you want to be able to register the objects that you can connect to contracts. Objects can be hotels, restaurants, pubs institutions or anything else.

1. Select the Search icon , enter Contract Objects, and then choose the related link.
2. Choose the New action.
3. Enter codes as necessary and fill in fields. Hover over a field to read a short description.

In the Contract Management Setup, you can specify an automatic object dimension. If this is setup, every new contract object will automatically get that dimension with the object number as dimension value. All postings with the object will get this dimension value, so you are able to report per contract object.
