Create an issuer credit memo from a sales claim

Creating a purchase credit memo against an issuer empowers users to rectify errors, resolve disputes, and manage accounts payable effectively. This enhances cash flow and customer satisfaction while streamlining financial management processes.

With this feature, you can create a purchase credit memo against the issuer. The following procedure describes how to perform this activity.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Sales Claims, and then choose the related link.
    The Sales Claims list page opens.
  2. Select the desired No.
    The Sales Claim card page opens.
  3. On the Lines FastTab, enter the Issuer Type and Issuer No.
Note


  • When the Issuer Type field is set to Own Logistics or Vendor, you can enter a vendor number in the Issuer No. field.
  • If the Issuer Type field is set to Shipping Agent, you can enter the associated shipping agent code; the associated vendor will automatically populate.
  • If the Issuer Type is empty or set to Own Logistics, the Issuer No. field remains empty.

  • Ensure the sales claim document has been processed and the sales return order has been posted.

    1. On the Lines FastTab, select the Create Issuer Credit Memo action.
      The issuer credit memo is created.
    Note

    The Vendor No. is inherited from the Issuer No. defined in the sales claim document. The Item No. is inherited from the Claims Setup page for the Item Type set as Non-inventory.
