Create week forecast, day forecast, and purchase order from harvest orders

With this feature, you can create week and day forecasts, and generate purchase orders directly from harvest orders.
This streamlines operations, improves planning and resource allocation, optimizes inventory management, reduces waste, and ensures efficient supply chain operations, leading to cost savings and increased productivity for businesses. The following procedure describes how to perform this activity.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Harvest Orders, and then choose the related link.
    The Harvest Orders list page opens.
  2. Select the preferred No.
    The Harvest Order card page opens.
  3. On the Lines FastTab, enter the Qty. to Harvest for the line items.
  4. On the action bar, select Forecast > Week Forecast.
    The system displays a dialog box.
Note
  • You can also create week forecast and day forecast documents for specific line items by selecting Create Week Forecast and Create Day Forecast actions respectively on the Lines FastTab.
  • You can get detailed overview of associated documents, both existing and generated, per line item on the Harvest Order Lines FactBox.
  1. Click Yes.
    The Calendar Weeks page opens.
  2. Select the desired Week Code and click OK.
    The system displays a dialog box.
  3. Click Yes.
    The system redirects you to the associated week forecast.
  4. On the Week Forecast page, on the Lines FastTab, in the Qty. to Harvest field, enter the preferred quantity for all the line items.
    The system updates the Harvest Order No. field value on the week forecast.
    You can see the number of open day forecasts and purchase orders associated with the line items on the Week Forecast Line Details FactBox.
  5. On the Planning FastTab, turn on the Harvest Days toggle, if you want the day forecast to be created on a specific day of the defined calendar week.
Note
  • The number of day forecasts will be created based on the number of harvest days toggles turned on. In this case, the system doesn’t consider the Expected Receipt Date field value.
  • The Harvest Days toggles are only considered while creating day forecasts not for purchase orders.
  1. On the General FastTab, ensure that the Status field is set as Released.
  2. On the action bar, select Create Day Forecast.
    The system displays a dialog box.
Note

To create a day forecast, ensure that you have configured the Delivery/Pack Code field value on the Commodity Setup page.

  1. Click Yes.
    The Item by Global Lot Attribute and Item Category Filter page opens.
  2. Select the desired Item No. associated with the line items with Type field set as as Item Category and Global Attributes.
  3. On the action bar, select Edit List.
  4. In the Qty. to Harvest field, enter the desired quantity.
  5. Click OK.
    The system displays a dialog box confirming the creation of the day forecast document.
  6. Click Yes.
    The Day Forecasts page opens.
  7. Select the desired No.
    The system redirects you to the associated day forecast document.
Note
  • If the harvest order has line items with Type field set as Item Category and Global Attributes, the week forecast will inherit these line items.
  • To create day forecast and purchase order, you must select relevant items for the line items on the Item by Global Lot Attribute and Item Category Filter page.
  1. On the Lines FastTab, in the Qty. to Deliver field, enter the relevant quantity.
    The Default Shipping Container and Default Shipping Unit field values are inherited from the associated harvest order. These fields are only applicable for the lines with Type set as Item and Commodity Item.
  2. On the General FastTab, ensure that the Status field is set as Released.
  3. On the action bar, select Create Purchase Order.
    The system displays a dialog box.
  4. Click Yes.
    The system redirects you to the purchase order.
    On the Lines FastTab, the system updates the Day Forecast No., Week Forecast No., and Harvest Order No. field values.
