You can enter the Weight Quantity of the Catch Weight Item in the Item Tracking Line on the Transfer Order. The Document Weight Line captures the quantity expressed in the Catch Weight UoM and is linked to the Item Tracking Line. The Item Tracking Lines are defined for the Item in the Transfer Order. The following procedure describes how the Document Weight lines are created for Transfer Order line during Shipment.

  1. On the Transfer Order page, on the Lines FastTab, the following non-editable weight quantity flow fields are filled in with zero:
    FieldDescription
Weight Quantity (KG)Quantity in the Catch Weight unit of measure.
Weight Qty. to Ship (KG)Quantity that you want to ship in the Catch Weight unit of measure.
Weight Qty. Shipped (KG)Quantity that you shipped in the Catch Weight unit of measure.
  2. On the action bar, select Home > Assign Lot No. to assign a new lot for the item.
  3. On the Lines FastTab, select Line > Item Tracking Lines > Shipment to open the Item Tracking Lines page.

The Item Tracking Lines are created, and the Weight Quantity fields are updated with the respective values. This works similarly to the process involved in the creation of Document Weight Lines for Sales Order Line.

If required, you can change the Quantity (Base) for a specific lot and then click the Assign Lot No. function to update the catch weight quantity values.

If you edit/update the Qty. to Handle field, the Weight Qty. to Handle and the Weight Qty. to Ship fields are also updated with their respective values.

  1. Close the Item Tracking Lines page.
  2. Click the value on the Weight Quantity fields to open the Document Weight Lines for the Catch Weight item.
You cannot use the weight quantity that is greater than or less than the limits defined on the Item Catch Weight Setup.
Note

When the Document Weight Lines are deleted, the selected Item, Item Tracking Lines, and the associated Transfer Order are also deleted.

While creating Document Weight lines for Transfer Order line during Shipment from warehouse location,

  3. In the In-Transit Code field, select the transit code from the drop-down menu.
    Fill in the required fields.
  4. Create the Warehouse Pick.
The Weight Quantity to Handle field is updated on the Pick Lines based on the average weight of the selected lot. When you change the value in the Quantity to Handle field, the system automatically updates the Weight Quantity to Handle (KG) on the Warehouse Pick lines.
  5. Register the Pick.

The Document Weight Lines are saved on the associated Warehouse Shipment, and the system updates the Weight Qty. to Ship (KG) in Transfer Order Shipment and on the Warehouse Shipment pages.
You can access the Document Weight Lines by clicking the value in the Weight Qty. to Ship (KG) field on the Warehouse Shipment Lines.
