Walkthrough: Processing picks for License Plate tracked items and customers

Customer 95100 The Cannon Drinks Group PLC LPN, is a customer which only accept shipments, with each item on a pallet, identified with a license plate number.

Check Setup

To check the License Plate Tracking setup of the customer:

1. Select the Search icon , enter Customers, and then choose the related link.
2. Select customer 95100.
3. On the Advanced Warehouse Management FastTab, check the License Plate Tracking Code, CUS SHIP.
4. Select the Search icon , enter License Plate Tracking Codes, and then choose the related link.
5. Check Type for Code CUS SHIP.
6. Select the Open Record action, in the Inbound Rules. This opens the License Plate Tracking Rules page.
7. Remove the filter on the Direction field. This will give you an overview of all the rules for CUS SHIP.

In this case, License Plate registration is mandatory from pick until shipment.

Customer 95100 orders 60 Crates of item 1012 BEER CRONUS PREMIUM CRATE 24X33CL LPN and 5 pieces of item 5210 CRONUS T-Shirt S (POS).

Item 1012 BEER CRONUS PREMIUM CRATE 24X33CL LPN is License Plate Mandatory, for all processes.

To check the License Plate Tracking setup of this item:

8. Select the Search icon , enter Items, and then choose the related link.
9. Select item 1012.

11. Select the Search icon , enter License Plate Tracking Codes, and then choose the related link.
12. Check Type for Code ALL.

60 Crates of item 1012 BEER CRONUS PREMIUM CRATE 24X33CL LPN is 1 Full Pallet and 20 crates. 5 pieces of item 5210 CRONUS T-Shirt S (POS). The process will be to create picks for 1 full pallet and 1 mixed pallet and process them accordingly.

Sales Order to Pick

60 Crates of item 1012 BEER CRONUS PREMIUM CRATE 24X33CL LPN is 1 Full Pallet and 20 crates. 5 pieces of item 5210 CRONUS T-Shirt S (POS). The process below will guide you from Sales Order, to pick creation for 1 full pallet and 1 mixed pallet, to processing them accordingly.

15. Select the Search icon , enter Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.
16. On the Sales Orders page, choose the New action.
17. In the Customer Name field, enter the No. 95100 (The Cannon Drinks Group PLC LPN).
18. In the Location Code field, enter SILVER_OWM.
19. Fill in line:

20. Select the Release action
21. Select the Create Warehouse Shipment action. The Warehouse Shipment page opens.
22. Select the Create Pick action.
23. On the Whse.-Shipment - Create Pick page, select the Warehouse Template Code 2_FULLMIX.
24. Select the OK button. A new pick activity is created.
25. Select the Navigate - Pick Lines action. The Warehouse Pick Lines list opens.
26. Select one line with Quantity 40.
27. Select the Card action. The Warehouse Pick opens.
28. Select the Register Pick action.
The error message explains you a License Plate No. is mandatory.
29. In the Take Line for item 1012, select a License Plate No.
30. Select the Register Pick action.
31. Select the Card action. The Warehouse Pick page opens.
32. Select the Register Pick action.
The error message explains you a License Plate No. is mandatory.
33. In the Take Line of item 1012, select a License Plate No.
34. Select the Register Pick action.
The error message explains you a License Plate No. is mandatory, and it is because the customer demands a license plate for each License Plate, Full or Mixed.
35. Select all lines
36. In the lines, choose the Assign destination license plate action.
37. Select the License Plate Type.
38. One License Plate No on all the selected Place lines is added.
39. Select the Register Pick action.

The pick is registered, to verify the warehouse movement, check the Warehouse Entries and the Detailed Warehouse Entries.
