Setting up warehouse templates

Article • 7/2/2025 • 3 min read

Warehouse templates are designed to meet the needs of various warehouses. While the standard create pick functionality generates one pick per warehouse shipment, warehouse templates allow you to create different picks based on destination, full pallets, single items, and other parameters.

This allows the warehouse manager to make specific picks based on the requirements for a particular shipment.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Warehouse Templates, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the Warehouse Templates page, select New.
  3. Select the Warehouse Template Group.
  4. Enter Code and Description field values in the lines for each Warehouse template.
  5. Fill in the other fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read the tooltip.
  6. For each line, select the Process Order action.
  7. On the Picking Group Order page, select New.
  8. Enter a Warehouse Template Group, Warehouse Template Code, Sequence and Picking Bin Group Code field values in the lines for each bin group code, you want to pick from.

On the Warehouse Templates page, when the Transportation Validation Type field value is selected as Dock, then on the Warehouse Shipment page, on the Drink-IT Foundation FastTab, there must be a value entered in the Dock Code field for the pick to be created.

Assign destination license plate number in single pick

The system refines the behavior of destination license plate number assignment in single pick scenarios. When the Warehouse Template page is configured with the Picking Type field value set to Single Pick, the system respects the pick quantity relative to the content of the selected license plate on the Warehouse Pick page.
