Setting Up License Plate Types

License plating is a method for grouping and managing inventory in the form of a container. This container can be a pallet, a product carton, a 20FT general container or anything else. The license plate number (LPN) is the unique identifier for the container, a barcode label, RFID tag or else. It makes it possible to manage your warehouse and logistics for a group of items with a single scan.

You can setup your containers in the License Plate Types page:

1. Select the Search icon , enter License Plate Types and then choose the related link.
2. On the License Plate Types page, select the New action.
3. Enter a code and a description in the lines for each of your containers.
4. Fill in the other fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read the tooltip.
