Setting Up Item Shelf Life per Customer

Shelf life is the length of time that a good may be stored without becoming unfit for use, consumption, or sale. The shelf life can be setup per customer and per item or item category. Item Shelf Life per Customer, only works in combination with a location which is bin Mandatory, Require Pick and Require Shipment.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Item Shelf Life per Customer and then choose the related link.
    The Item Shelf Life per Customer page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select New.
  3. Fill in the fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read the tooltip.
Note

The Expiration % is calculated according to the date formula in the
Expiration Calculation on the item.
Example:
When an item has an Expiration Calculation of 2Y and the Item Shelf
Life per Customer for this item and the customer is set on a Period
Calculation Method of By Percentage with an Expiration % of
50,00
The remaining shelf live needs to be at least 1 year, if not, we are not
allowed to pick, nor ship the item to the customer
