Setting up bins for advanced warehouse management

When you use bins in your warehouse, you want to know if it contains products that you can pick and that these goods are not blocked, in quarantine or else.

Some bins are reserved for one specific item, some bins can only contain one item.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the Location.
  3. On the action bar, select Bins.
  4. On the action bar, select Set Bin Status to change the status on your bin.

    Changing the bin status can select the Exclude From Pick checkbox.

  5. In the Picking Group field, select a specific picking group for each bin which you want to use pick from.
  6. In the Is Returnable Bin checkbox, select this checkbox, if this bin is used for returnable items.
  7. In the Exclusivity Type field, select an option to define how the system must store item(s) in this bin. The available options are:
    • Blank: Multiple items are allowed in the bin.
    • Single Item (Dynamic): If the bin is empty, you can add any item in the bin. However, once the item is added, only that item is allowed in the bin.
    • Single Item (Fixed): Only the item number selected in the Exclusivity Item No. field is allowed in the bin.
  8. In the Exclusivity Item No. field, select exclusivity item number of the bin to store into this bin.
