Walkthrough: Print labels for production output

First, we need to setup the communication between Advanced Warehouse Management and the webservice of your Label Software.

It is imperative that all wanted labels are prepared and ready to be used by your label software. The label software automation of your label software needs to be installed and running to receive and process the JSON messages send out from the Advanced Warehouse Management Connector.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Advanced Warehouse Mgmt. Connector Setup and then choose the related link.
  2. Check the fields, the standard setup is pointing to the Label Software used at NORRIQ. Hover over a field to read a short description.
  3. Change the necessary fields to your Label Software. Hover over a field to read a short description.

Secondly, we need to add printers to be used in your Label Software.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Advanced Warehouse Mgmt. Connector Setup and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the Printer Setup action. This opens the Label automation Printer Setup page.
  3. Only Standard printers are installed in the Demo Company.
  4. If you want to add printers, on the Label automation Printer Setup page, choose the New action.
  5. Enter a Printer Name and a Description in the lines for each Printer. Be aware the Printer Name is the correct Printer Name used in your label printing software.
  6. Repeat this for all the printers you want to add.

To setup labels to be printed in label printing software.

Thirdly, we need to setup the Label File Names and Integration Name to be used in your Label Software.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Advanced Warehouse Mgmt. Connector Setup and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the Labels Setup action. This opens the Label automation Label Setup page.
  3. Select the Code PRODORDER. This opens the Label automation Label Setup card.
  4. Change the Label File Name to the correct label file name in your label software.
  5. Change the Integration Name to the correct Integration Name in your label software.
  6. Change the Copies to the copies you want to print.
  7. Change the Printer Name to one of the printers used in your Label Software.

And at last, check the events to print labels from Business Central.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Advanced Warehouse Mgmt. Connector Setup and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the Print Events action. This opens the Label automation Print Events page.
  3. Check the line with Label Code PRODORDER.

To print labels

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Released Production Orders, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the New action.
  3. Enter 1212 in the field Source No..
  4. Enter 4000 in the field Quantity.
  5. Enter SILVER_OWM in the field Location Code.
  6. Enter SO-BULK-11 in the field Bin Code.
  7. Choose the Refresh Production Order action.
  8. Choose OK.
  9. Select the first line.
  10. Choose the Item tracking Lines action in the Lines.
  11. Choose the Assign Lot No. action.
  12. Enter 10/10/24 in the field Expiration Date.
  13. Choose OK.
  14. Select EURO in the field License Plate Type.
  15. In the lines, choose the Send to Label automation action.
  16. Change the options as desired.
  17. Choose OK. The labels are printed.

To check the label print log

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Label automation Print Log Entries, and then choose the related link.
  2. Hover over a field to read a short description.

Apply the labels to the pallets and us a scanning device to post output.
