Create price report templates

You can create price report templates and configure pricing dates, item selection, and layout of the report. This configuration helps you customize the generation of price list reports as per your requirements.

To create a price report template, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Price Report Templates, and then choose the related link.
    The Price Report Templates page opens.

  2. On the action bar, select New.
    The Price Report Template page opens.

  3. On the General FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    CodeSpecifies the unique code of the price report template. The number series used is set up in the Price Report Template Nos. field on the Advanced Pricing Setup page. For more information, see Set up advanced pricing.
    DescriptionEnter a description for the price report template.
  4. On the Pricing Dates FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Specific Start DateEnter the date formula that defines the start date of the pricing from when the report is run, for example, 2D means that the system generates the pricing report for two days after the current date.
    Price Effective RangeEnter the date formula that defines the price effectiveness period for the price list report. For example, 1D for one day, 2M for two months, and 3Y for three years.
  5. On the Item Selection FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Skip Items Without PriceTurn on the toggle to exclude items without defined prices from the price list report.
    Skip Items Without InventoryTurn on the toggle to exclude items without inventory from the price list report.
    Sales Price List CodeSelect a sales price list code if you want the system to include items that are only a part of the sales price list code in the price list report.
    This field is editable only when the Item Catalog Code field value is not selected and the All Customer Catalogs toggle is turned off.
    Item Catalog CodeSelect an item catalog code if you want the system to include items that are only a part of the item catalog in the price list report.
    This field is editable only when the Sales Price List Code field value is not selected and the All Customer Catalogs toggle is turned off.
    All Customer CatalogsTurn on the toggle if you want the system to include items in all customer catalogs associated with the selected customer in the price list report.
    This field is editable only when the Sales Price List Code and Item Catalog Code field values are not selected.

    The Item Catalog Code field and All Customer Catalogs toggle are visible only when the Aptean Customer Item Catalog extension is installed.

  6. On the Report Layout FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Zero Price TextEnter the text to display for items with zero price in the price list report. If this field value is left blank, the system does not display zero prices in the report.
    Sorting MethodSelect how the system must sort items in the price list report. The available options are: Item Category, Item No., Item Description, and Item Search Description.
    This field value is set to Item Category by default.
    Section HeadersSelect whether you want the price list report to include section headers based on item categories. The available options are: Blank and Item Category.
    This field value is set to Item Category by default.
  7. On the action bar, select Item Filter to add specific filter criteria for items, such as item category, item number, or unit cost.

  8. Select the Item Attribute action to add specific filter criteria for item attribute values.

    The price report template is set up.
