Visibility of customer attributes

A promoted Customer Attribute is shown in the Customer List for a quick overview of the Customers and the attributes that are linked to it. It is possible to show a maximum of five Attributes on the Customers List. The Customer Attribute has to be set up to Promoted before it is shown on the Customers List.

Set a customer attribute as Promoted

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Customer Attributes and then choose the related link.
    The Customer Attributes list page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select Edit List .
  3. Select the Promoted checkbox for the customer attribute, e.g., “Customer Type”, which should be promoted.
    The selected attribute, e.g., “Customer Type”, is now promoted.

Visibility on the customers page

  1. Select the Search icon , enter customers and then choose the related link.
    The Customers list page opens.
  2. For each customer, view the promoted customer attribute, for e.g., ”Customer Type” appearing in a different column showing the related attribute values.
    Example: For a customer “C0011 Super Almere”, the attribute value ”Retail” is shown under the promoted customer attribute, ”Customer Type”. Similarly, you can view the promoted attributes with its values for the other attribute-linked customers.

Filter on customer attributes

Filter by Attributes ensures that only the Customers with the filtered Attribute Values are shown in the Customers List. If an Attribute is “Promoted”, the filtered Attribute and Values are also visible in the list. It is not possible to filter on Customer Attributes using the general list-filter option. Instead, a specific “Filter by Attributes” option is available on the action bar.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter customers and then choose the related link.
    The Customers list page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select More options > Related> Customer > Filter by Attributes .
    The Filter Customers by Attribute page opens.
  3. On the Attribute field and select a customer attribute from the dropdown, e.g., “Customer Type” based upon which the customer list should be filtered.
  4. On the Value field, select a value from the customer attribute values, e.g., “Retail” based upon which the customer list should be filtered.
  5. Select OK. The filtered customers are shown on the Customers list page. Only those customers with the specified customer attributes in the filter are displayed.

Clear filter

On the Customers list page, on the action bar, select More options > Related > Customer > Clear Attributes Filter to clear the filter set based on the customer attributes.

The filter criteria are removed and all the customers are shown on the Customers list page.
