Set up lot attribute templates for item category lots
You can set up an attribute template so that every time a lot number of that item group is created, a specific set of lot attributes is populated.

Select the Search icon
, enter Item Categories, and then choose the related link.
The Item Categories page opens. -
Select an item category for which the lot attribute template should be set up.

Select the AssistEdit button
.

Select View.
The Item Category Card page opens. -
On the action bar, select More options > Related > Lot Attributes Template.
The Lot Attribute Template page opens. -
Enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description Attribute Select a lot attribute. Fixed Value Select a default lot attribute value for this item category. This field is blank if the Allowed Values field value exists.
If the Type field value is set to Lookup on the associated Lot Attribute page, the system filters lot attribute values according to the set up. For more information, see Set up lot attributes.Allowed Values Specifies the allowed lot attribute values. This field is blank if the Fixed Value field value exists.
You can use the Allowed Lot Attribute Values action to define the allowed lot attribute values.Values Priority Exist Specifies if a priority for the allowed lot attribute values exist.

Select the Copy Lot Attributes action to copy all the lot attributes with the Copy to Template field value set to Item Category on the associated Lot Attribute page. For more information, see Set up lot attributes.
The lot attribute template is set up.
If the lot attribute isn’t set with the option type, the user can set only fixed values. It is not allowed for integer, date, decimal, and text type, to set up a list of options or allowed values.
