Customer attributes

It is possible to set up Customer Attributes, such as type or channel to a customer. The Customer Attributes can have different values. The Customer Attributes and Values can be used for information, filtering, and reporting purposes.

Set up customer attributes

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Customer Attributes and then choose the related link.
    The Customer Attributes list page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select New.
    The Customer Attribute page opens.
  3. On the Name field, enter the name of the customer attribute, for e.g., “Customer Type”.
  4. In the Type field, select the type of the customer attribute from the dropdown.
  5. If you select Option in the Type field, then select the Customer Attribute Values action on the action bar to create values for the Customer Attribute.
    Example: For the customer attribute, “Customer Type”, you can create attribute values such as Retail, Wholesale, and Cash & Carry on the Customer Attribute Values page.
  6. Select the Back arrow button on the opened pages to save the changes and navigate back.
    The Customer Attribute is now set up.

Customer Attributes can be linked to a Customer.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Customers and then choose the related link.
    The Customers list page opens.
  2. Select the preferred No.
    The Customer card page opens.
  3. On the action bar, select More options > Related > Customer> Other > Attributes.
    The Customer Attribute Values page opens.
  4. Select the Attribute field and select the customer attribute from the list, e.g., “Customer Type” created on the Customer Attribute page.
  5. In the Value field, select a value from the customer attribute values, e.g., “Retail” created on the Customer Attribute Values page.
  6. Select OK to apply the changes.

You can view the linked customer attributes in the Customer Attributes FactBox on the Customers list page.
