When the Aptean EDI extension is used in conjunction with the Aptean Beverage Tax Management extension, Drink-IT Edition, the system maps the excise-related tax fields in EDI messages while processing the Aptean EDI 940 and 940 SO messages. The system calculates excise taxes from posted sales and return documents and determines tax classifications based on customer, vendor, or address settings, depending on the document type.
