Dispatch Groups

On the Processing Groups page, you can configure dispatch groups and assign them to specific EDI ports. Once it is assigned, it can be used in the job queues to process EDI messages.

To set up a dispatch group:

  1. Select the Search icon ,enter Processing Groups, and then choose the related link.
    The Processing Groups page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select New.
  3. Enter the Code and Description in the respective fields.
    A new dispatch group is created.
  4. Select the Search icon , enter EDI Ports, and then choose the related link.
    The EDI Ports page opens.
  5. On the relevant EDI port, select the AssistEdit button .
  6. Select Edit.
    The relevant EDI Port Card page opens.
  7. In the Processing Group field, select the dispatch group that you want to use for the EDI port.

Now, the dispatch group is configured with the EDI port successfully. You can use this dispatch group in job queues to filter and process the EDI messages.

To run a job queue with the dispatch group:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Job Queue Entries, and then choose the related link.
    The Job Queue Entries page opens.
  2. In the Status field, Select the preferred value to open the relevant Job Queue Entry Card page.
  3. On the action bar, select Related > Job Queue > Report Request Page.
    The Request page opens.
  4. In the Processing Group field, select the relevant group for which you want to process the EDI messages.


    In the Processing Group field, enter the two single quotes ( ‘’ ) if you want to process EDI messages for the EDI ports which are not assigned with any dispatch groups.

  5. Select OK.
