Set up priority lot attribute values
You can define the priority of allowed lot attribute values to indicate the scale or quality for an item or an item category.
For example, if Banana is an item, you can set up priorities for allowed lot attribute values (such as, Yellow with 1, Yellow-green with 2, Green with 3, and Brown with blank) to indicate quality levels.
To set up priority lot attribute values, follow these steps:
-
On the Item Card or Item Category Card page, on the action bar, select Lot Attributes Template.
The Lot Attribute Template page opens. -
On the Lot Attribute Template page, on the action bar, select the Priority Lot Attribute Values action.
This action is available only when the allowed lot attribute values are defined.
The Lot Attributes Values Priority page opens. -
Enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description No. Specifies the item or item category number. Lot Attribute Value Specifies the allowed lot attribute value. Priority Enter the priority number for the lot attribute value. You can assign the same priority number for more than one lot attribute value to indicate that they are on the same level.
- If you select a lot attribute value for which a priority is assigned as the lot attribute requirement, you cannot choose lots for which a priority is not assigned.
- The priority defined for lot attribute values on an item category level impacts the priority of lot attribute values for associated items. This implies that if the defined values and their priority originate from the item category level, they cannot be overruled on the item level.
