Manage warehouse shipments or picks

When the Manufacturing Policy field value on the Item Card page is set to Automatic - Warehouse Pick and:

• The Transfer Output to Consumption toggle on the Quick Production Setup page is turned on, the system automatically creates a released production order when selecting the Create Pick action from a warehouse shipment.
  The system assigns lots to the warehouse pick lines. When you register the lots and assign them to the warehouse shipment lines, the system updates the production order components, assigns lots to broken source items, posts the production output journal, and then assigns the output lot to the associated sales line.

• The Transfer Output to Consumption toggle on the Quick Production Setup page is turned off, the system automatically creates a released production order when selecting the Create Warehouse Shipment action from a sales order, without creating a pick.
  The system updates the production order components, assigns lots to broken source items, posts the production output journal, and then assigns the output lot to the associated sales line.
