Setup
The production activity can be configured for a particular mobile profile by entering PRODUCTION in the Page field on the Mobile Profile Setup page.
- Output on Validate Qty.: Indicates whether the system should automatically post production output when an output quantity is entered.
- Verify Qty.: Indicates whether you must verify entered item quantities. If this description is set to Yes, you must confirm the quantity before posting a production activity. If the Auto Post Output/Consumption on Validate Quantity settings are enabled, the system automatically posts output or consumption upon data entry, ignoring the verify quantity setting.
- Consume on Validate Qty.: Indicates whether production consumption is automatically posted when a consumption quantity is entered.
- Confirm Qty. if Different than Remaining: Indicates whether you must verify entered item quantities when they differ from the remaining quantity on the production order. For example, if a production order has 100 units remaining and the user enters 90 units, the system prompts for confirmation of the discrepancy.
- Auto Take Output: Indicates whether posted output is automatically moved to the mobile user-specific warehouse bin. In a bin-controlled environment, the system temporarily assigns a user-specific bin for ongoing warehouse movements. When enabled, production output is first posted to the location’s To-Production bin and then automatically transferred to the user-specific bin, facilitating immediate further movements. If disabled, the output remains in the To-Production bin.
- Auto Print Lot Tag on Output Post: You can print a lot label for the new license plate from the production output. The label is printed automatically when the item ledger and warehouse entry are posted with output. You can choose if you want to print an RDLC report or the labels from the Aptean Labeling extension.
- Application Identifier Quantity Sequence: Specifies the order in which the system should look for quantity information in GS1 barcodes during production activities. To know more, see Parse GS1 barcode for catch weight items during warehouse production output activity.
- Restrict Default Output Qty.: Indicates whether you need to scan both take and place lines or only take lines during the planned move activity. To know more, see Default output quantity in production.
In addition, it is possible to indicate the specific fields from the Production Order table that will be included when the user views production order details by selecting the Profile Page Fields option.
The Mobile Profilepage presents the fields that will be displayed to users to whom the relevant mobile profile has been assigned. The fields are displayed according to the value in the Sort Order field. You can edit the values in this field to sequence the order in which the fields will be displayed.
On the Field Name field, you define the field that you want to display. Any field from the Production Order table can be entered here. No spaces or punctuation (such as periods that typically appear at the end of abbreviated words) may be used, but a character’s case must be correct. Please be aware that this is a text field, and all values must be entered manually. The profile setup that is included with the Aptean Mobile Warehouse Registration solution’s ‘Create Default Setup’ on the Mobile Setup page, has already been configured to include all necessary settings.
On the Field Label field, you can define the label that will be assigned to the field when it is displayed to mobile users.
You must specify the fields that will be accessible for every mobile profile that will utilize the Production activity. This allows for different types of information to be available to different profiles.
