Update Customs Reference in Excise Data
Each company that deals with excise and have an excise customs license must declare the excise transaction for a certain period to the customs authority. On the excise duty ledger entries, you can add a Customs Reference, but this is not necessary for all countries.
You can add a Customs Reference Code to the closed excise entries for the Excise Period so that the reference to the Customs authority is stored on the Excise Duty Ledger Entries. These reference codes are used by the Customs Office when a periodic Customs audit may take place.
The Customs Reference Code is not mandatory.
