When posting a transfer document, it must be possible to get the insight about the related excise data, after finishing the Transfer transaction. The excise data is always recalculated while posting a transfer document. The Posting Date of the shipment/receipt is the date where the recalculation is done. The Excise Data, Customs licenses, and Trading Information from the transfer document are inherited by the posted excise entries once you post it. While posting the shipment, the Transfer From Location is considered for the relevant excise data, but while posting the receipt, the Transfer To Location is taken into account.

When posting the transfer shipment and transfer receipt, there are two indicators for which the excise duty is to be paid:

  • Excise duty on transfer shipment
  • Excise duty on transfer receipt

While posting, if the Status of the Item is Blocked or Blocked for Movement in the Item Beverage Data, it throws an error. If there is no valid tariff group version selected for the excise item, you get an error message.
