Item Copy Function with Beverage and Excise Data

The starting point of creating new items is often to copy the data from an existing item. With the Item Copy functionality, it is possible to copy the item related data from an existing item to a new item.

  1. Go to the Items List page and select the required Item No. that you want to copy.
  2. On the action bar, go to Actions > Functions > Other > Copy Item.
    The Copy Item page opens.
  3. On the Excise Duty FastTab, turn on the Excise Data and Tariff Groups toggles.


    If you don't copy the Item Variants of the Source Item, the Item beverage data for the non-existing variants are not copied from the Source Item.

  4. Choose OK.
    A dialog appears to confirm that the “Item was successfully copied”.
  5. You can view the newly created Item by clicking 'Show created item'.
    To check if the Excise Data and the Tariff Groups are successfully copied:
    1. On the Item Card page, on the action bar, go to Related > Excise Duty > Excise Data to view the Excise Data.
    2. On the Item Card page, on the action bar, go to Related > Excise Duty > Tariff Groups to view the Tariff Groups.
