Customs License Data
You must set up the Customs Licenses for the customs process around excise. Various entities in Business Central can be attached to a Custom License, indicating that this entity is permitted by the Customs Authority to Produce, Trade and keep the Excise Duty products in Inventory.
Customs License Type: This is a combination of the code and the description. For customs regulation, you must define the Customs Licenses per trading partner entity. Before defining the customs licenses, it is necessary to set up the Customs License Type. This entity is used to group the same license types. Different License Types may exist. This allows the User to define various Customs License Types in Business Central.
Customs License: The Customs License can be defined for each trading partner. This definition exists on two levels. Firstly, the license no. on the level of the trading partner entity. Secondly, under that definition, the Customs License Tariff Group assignments can be done. The trading partner and more specifically the Customs License is authorized for the corresponding tariff groups.
For example: A customs license may be permitted for only soft drinks, but not for distilled items.
The Customs Licenses can be defined for the following entities:
- Customer
- Vendor
- Company
- Location
- Customs Tax Representative
Customs Office: This is the customs office used in Non-Domestic transactions.
