Create Scale Code and Lines

To deduce the calculation value, there is another scale definition you can set up in the calculation formulas for certain components.

You can set up the Calculation Scale Codes and Lines using the following steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Calculation Scale Codes, and then choose the related link.
    The Calculation Scale Codes page opens.
  2. Choose New.
  3. Enter the Code and Description in the respective fields.
  4. Choose Lines.
    The Calculation Scale Lines page opens.
  5. Choose New.
  6. Enter the values in the Value From, Value Till and Calculation Value fields.


In the Excise Calculation Formula, you can select the Scale in Scale Code Operand A and Scale Code Operand B fields instead of the actual value defined in the Item.

You can set up one or more scale codes and under each scale code, you can define multiple lines with the fields Value From, Value Till and Calculation Value.

  • Value From: Greater Than (>) the value.
  • Value Till: Lower than Equal to the value (<=)
  • Calculation Value: Specifies the value of the Calculation Value field.
