When the Aptean EDI extension is used in conjunction with the Aptean Catch Weight extension,

  • You can view the Catch Weight Quantity and Catch Weight Unit of Measure fields in the Aptean 856, Aptean 856 Consolidated, Aptean 856 Level 4 Outbound, and Aptean 945 Level 4 Inbound ports when the related item is a catch weight item. You can also view the Catch Weight Quantity, Catch Weight Unit of Measure, and Catch Weight Price fields in the Aptean 810 Outbound and Aptean 812 Outbound ports for catch weight items.

  • When you use a catch weight item in the Aptean 850/860 inbound file and assign a lot number, or lot number and license plate number, to the related item, the system updates the Weight Quantity (UOM) field on the sales order line during EDI message processing.

  • The system updates the weight quantity based on the ApteanEDI944Level4 XML file through the Aptean 944 Level 4 Inbound port when you create, or update warehouse receipts associated with purchase or transfer orders.

  • The system updates the CatchWeightQuantity and CatchWeightUOM fields in the Aptean EDI 940 Outbound port with the total quantity of the document weight lines and the unit of measure code from the Catch Weight Setup page.

  • A line is inserted on the Document Weight Lines page during processing, provided the inbound file contains a value in the CatchWeightQuantity text element and the associated item is a catch weight item.
