Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean EDI extension:

  • When you execute the Send Pick action (Action > EDI > Send Pick) on the Warehouse Shipment page, the Quantity and UOM field values are updated based on the unit of measure conversion while processing via the Aptean EDI 940 port.

  • You can define the Location GLN and Recipient GLN field values on the Location Card page, which get updated while processing warehouse shipments created through sales orders, transfer orders, and purchase return orders via the Aptean EDI 810 port.
    The hierarchy of the update for the field values are as follows:

    • Location GLN

      For warehouse shipments created from sales orders, transfer orders, and purchase return orders, the Location GLN field value follows this hierarchy:

      1. The Location GLN field value on the Location Card page associated with the location code in the source document.
      2. The EDI Value field value on the EDI Translation page for the associated location code that has a value in the Related Message Field Name field.
      3. The EDI Value field value on the EDI Translation page for the associated location code.

    • Recipient GLN

      For warehouse shipments, the Recipient GLN field value follows different hierarchies based on the source document type:

      Sales order

      1. The Recipient GLN field value on the Location Card page associated with the location code in the sales order.
      2. The GLN field value on the Customer Card page associated with the bill-to customer in the source document.
      3. The EDI Value field value on the EDI Translation page for the associated bill-to customer in the sales order.


      Transfer order

      1. The Recipient GLN field value on the Location Card page associated with the location code in the transfer order.
      2. The EDI Value field value on the EDI Translation page for the associated location code that has a value in the Related Message Field Name field.
      3. The EDI Value field value on the EDI Translation page for the associated location code in the transfer order.


      Purchase return order

      1. The Recipient GLN field value on the Location Card page associated with the location code in the purchase return order.
      2. The GLN field value on the Vendor Card page associated with the pay-to vendor in the purchase return order.
      3. The EDI Value field value on the EDI Translation page for the associated pay-to vendor in the purchase return order.

UI/UX changes

The Location GLN and Recipient GLN fields have been added to the EDI FastTab of the Location Card page.
