Setting up locations for customs document management

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the relevant location card.
  3. On the Customs Document FastTab, fill in the fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description.

When the location has deviating excise numbers per excise product category, you can set this in the location tax classifications:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Locations, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the relevant location card and navigate to the Tax Management action.
  3. Select the relevant tax code and then choose the Tax Classification action.
  4. Fill in the Location Tax Ref. 1 and / or Location Tax Ref. 2

To define an additional customs license for a specific group of customers, vendors or locations, based on a general tax classification code, follow these steps: 

  1. Open the Locations page. 
  2. Select the required entry. 
    The Location Card page opens. 
  3. On the action bar, select Related > Tax Management > Additional Customs License.
    The Additional Customs Licenses page opens. 
  4. In the Type field, select the appropriate classification type. The available options are: Customer, Vendor, and Location.
  5. In the Tax Classification Code field, select the relevant general tax classification code from the dropdown. 
  6. In the Tax Registration No. field, enter the tax registration number associated with the location.
  7. In the Tax Warehouse Reference field, enter the warehouse reference applicable to the location.  


You can also define the Additional Custom Licenses page at the tax classification level using the following pages:

  • Tax Classifications (Taxes > Classification > Location > Additional Custom License)
  • Tax Classification Relation (Location > Tax Management > Tax Classification > Related > Additional Custom License)

The Location Tax Ref. fields are meant for generic use in Aptean Beverage Tax Management. In Aptean Beverage Customs Document Management, the fields are synchronized with the fields Tax Registration No. (Location Tax Ref. 1) and Tax Warehouse Reference (Location Tax Ref. 2).
