What

AOW - Confirm LP Type in Warehouse Template.

Why

As a Warehouse Employee, I want to be able the change the LPN type when picking on the scanner, so I can always add the correct LPN Type for each LPN picked.

This can differ from type of pick.

How

Setup Setup License Plate Type Validator.

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Locations and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the location for which you want to add the functionality on the scanning device.
  3. Choose Configure OWM in the Ribbon. The OWM Configuration page opens.
  4. Choose Modules on Scanner in the Ribbon. The Modules on scanner list opens.
  5. Select the Warehouse Pick Module to add the validator on. The Module Settings page opens.
  6. Choose the Validations action. The Module Validation list opens.
  7. Enable the Active field in the line with License Plate Type in the Validator field.

What if the License Plate Validator is not available in the list of validators?


Best practice is to take a copy or print screen of your current validator settings before moving on to the next steps.

You can renew the list of validators to the latest version by:

  1. Closing the Module Validation list.
  2. Choose the Create Default Validations action.
  3. Choose the Validations action. The Module Validation list opens.
  4. Enable the Active field in the line with License Plate Type in the Validator field.
  5. Activate or deactivate other validators, according to your former setup.

Setup Confirm License Plate Type in Warehouse Template.

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Warehouse Templates and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the desired value in the Confirm License Plate Type field.
    4 options are available:
    1. From Setup: The value is equal to the value in the Pick Module Settings in the Location.
    2. Never
    3. Always
    4. When unknown: you will only need to confirm the License Plate Type


The value of the Confirm License Plate Type in the Warehouse Template line takes precedence over Confirm License Plate Type in the Pick Module Settings in the Location.

Flow

According to your setup, a License Plate Type popup, with a License Plate option field, will appear in the OWM 6 App on the scanner. When 8003 added to the GS1 Application Identifier field in the Postback field line, it is possible to scan the GTIN-14 for the License Plate Type.

As a Warehouse Employee, I want to be able to (automatically) handle Lost or damaged item quantities I found on the pick bin, so my inventory stays correct and we can cope with lost or damaged goods.

How

Setup Reason codes per Module.

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Locations and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the location for which you want to add the functionality on the scanning device.
  3. Choose Configure OWM in the Ribbon. The OWM Configuration page opens.
  4. Choose Modules on Scanner in the Ribbon. The Modules on scanner list opens.
  5. Select the Warehouse Pick Module. The Module Settings page opens.
  6. Choose the Reasoncodes action. The Module Reason Codes list opens.
  7. Choose the New action. A new line is created, fill in all fields as necessary.

Flow

On the scanner, in a pick

  1. Scan a bin, member of a bin group on which the Quick Pick Confirmation field is enabled.
  2. Confirm the correct quantity.
  3. When quantity is less than the proposed quantity, confirm the Reason.

In Business Central, the not picked quantity will be moved to the bin, setup to the Reason.

Why
As a warehouse user, I want to be able to replenish bins ad-hoc on the scanner, so the picking bins always have the correct quantity on stock.

How

Necessary setup to maintain your current Ad Hoc Movements on the scanner.

Following setup is essential:

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Locations and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the location for which you want to add the functionality on the scanning device.
  3. Choose Configure OWM in the Ribbon. The OWM Configuration page opens.
  4. Choose Modules on Scanner in the Ribbon. The Modules on scanner list opens.
  5. Select the Ad Hoc Movement Module. The Module Settings page opens.
  6. Choose the Sub Module Templates action. This opens the Sub Module Templates list.
  7. Choose the New Action, for each OWM User, using the Ad Hoc Movement, fill in the fields as necessary.
  8. Select Ad-Hoc Movement in the field Sub Module Type.

  2. Select the item for which you want to add an Ad-Hoc Replenishment Priority.
  3. In the FastTab Advanced Warehouse Management, fill in the Ad-Hoc Replenishment Priority fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description.
    The higher the number in the Ad-Hoc Replenishment field, the higher the priority.

Setup the Bin Groups

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Bin Groups and then choose the related link.
  2. Add the bin groups necessary to accommodate your replenishment flow by choosing the New Action and filling the fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description.

Setup the Bins.

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Locations and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the location for which you want to add the Ad-Hoc Replenishment functionality on the scanning device.
  3. Choose the Bins action. This opens the Bins list.
  4. Select the Picking Group and Exclusivity Type fields, for each bin, you want to replenish.
  5. Choose the Capacity action. The Bin Capacity list, for the selected bin, opens.
  6. Fill in all fields as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description.
    One bin can be replenished with multiple items, the Maximum Level Quantity is the maximum quantity for the item in the bin group.

Setup OWM Configuration.

  1. Choose the Search icon , enter Locations and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the location for which you want to add the functionality on the scanning device.
  3. Choose Configure OWM in the Ribbon. The OWM Configuration page opens.

Opening the Ad Hoc Movement Module on the scanner and choosing the Ad Hoc Replenishment, will open a list of replenishments to be processed.

The Document list is build, using:
The Sub Module Template assigned to your OWM User, with a Sub Module Type Ad-Hoc Replenishment and a Replenishment Pick Template Group.

The Item “Take” list is build, using:
Warehouse templates of one group:
*Added in the OWM Configuration of the Location and the Sub Module Templates * Using bin groups added in the Warehouse Group field of the bins
Bin Capacity on the to-replenish bins:
*The Exclusivity Type on the bins to replenish is mandatory Single Item. * To sort the different replenishments on the Ad-Hoc Replenishment Priorities on the items are also taken into account.

The list to replenish will be processed in the same way Ad Hoc Movements are processed.
The advantage of the Ad-Hoc Replenishment is the list to guide you through the replenishments in a predefined order of importance.

Fix - AOW - Warehouse Receipt - The button Release to Scanner does not always create OWM Activity due to Display Module

Why

When Releasing a Warehouse Receipt To Scanner and refreshing the Menu screen on the scanner, in some cases the Warehouse Receipt was not visible on the scanner.
Additional Action on Warehouse Receipt List
To accommodate the warehouse managers and employees to have the a better overview on the Warehouse Receipts, released to scanner, we added this field in the list and also an a new action to Release a selection of warehouse receipts to the scanner.

How

This issue is fixed on the condition you leave the Warehouse Receipt page after enabling the Release To Scanner boolean. Additional Action on Warehouse Receipt List

  1. Choose the search icon, enter Warehouse Receipts and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the Release Selection To Scanner action.
